We’d like to feel like we’re respected and help create jobs.”

Juszkiewicz will be House Speaker John Boehner’s guest at Obama’s speech before a joint session of Congress on Thursday night. Obama is unveiling his plan to jumpstart the weak economy. But Boehner's invitation to Juszkiewicz is a shot across the bow to the president, whose agenda of regulations and new taxes is seen by critics as anti-business.

Federal agents first raided the Nashville company in 2009 over suspect wood shipments from Madagascar. Gibson took that case to court but has denounced the administration with a vengeance after agents returned late last month to raid several Gibson factories -- this time out of concern that Indian export laws had been violated.

Gibson's CEO has said repeatedly that the only reason his company is in trouble is because U.S. workers are completing work on guitar fingerboards in the United States. He has suggested that his troubles would go away if he used foreign labor.

On Thursday, he said his company’s track record of hiring Americans – 580 in the last two years – is now in jeopardy at a time when the economy can least afford it.

“Our employees’ jobs are at risk. Our business is getting shut down,” he said, adding that the dustup with the feds is causing business concerns. “We’re competing with other companies that aren’t facing the same treatment.”

THINK ROY BUCHANAN BLUESMASTER

My newest aquisition is a 1988 Fritz Brothers Roy Buchanan Bluesmaster Telecaster. This model was prototyped for Roy and only 50 were made. Roy requested the last one for himself #50. This is # 50 and was aquired through a private sale from one of Roys long time associates who initially aquired the guitar after Roy's death in August 1988. George Harrison and Susanna Hoffs also owned one of the guitars in the limited run, No. 1 and No. 2 respectively. Below are Videos and photos of Roy with the protype guitar and a video of George ( and Eric Clapton )live in Japan (1991) playing his. Notice that Georges had a tortoise shell pickguard and a brighter sunburst finish. Each guitar in the 50 run had the body custom finished by order.
The Fritz Brothers did a very nice job on this beauty. The fit, trim and finish is outstanding. In my opinion, much higher quality than a custom shop Tele. The biggest differences between A Fender Tele and this model?? This one has three active EMGs controlled through a pearl capped 5 way selector with a covered battery rout on the backside. Sperzel locking tuners. Custom set neck configuration and custom burst finish that is beautifully bound. It also has a stainless steel nut which adds some sharpness to the tone. Very well made and finished. I know that some people put their noses up with regards to EMG's because they tend to be a little bit more "in your face" and seem to lack that "warmer growl tone" but it comes down to this: Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, and Roy had no problem creating their own individual tones with them. I personally like them too, especially in Fenders. God rest your soul Mr. Bluesmaster.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v20.nonxt8.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D7427dee9531c44c4%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1332351116%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D2D81F56AFFACEE22B1434CA6C41A98B2FDB2BB7E.6A77378F64CC3171A13B21815CEF2715755086B5%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D7427dee9531c44c4%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3D9Q1CnV3d99n8y6Ukxg85uD1ByDI&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />
Roy on the day he first received his Roy Buchanan Blues master. Mine came with a number two on it, and my name on the little engraved tag on the back. I was really honored. I have no idea how he knew about me or anything. But apparently he requested that I have that guitar. It’s an orange one. The Federation of American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimated that the costs to the state are $1.6 billion from Arizona's education system, $694.8 million from health care services, $339.7 million in law enforcement and court costs, $85.5 million in welfare costs and $155.4 million in other general costs. In fairness, you need to discount the cost of monitoring and incarceration, which at the margin, do not reflect enforcing Arizona SB1070. However, it also does reflect the marginal cost benefit to the national economy by allowing Arizona rather than the U.S. Government to manage the issue. Micro governments that are affected by state specific issues have not only a comparative advantage in controlling the monitoring costs, but also are incentivized to do so from both a political and economical standpoint. Let California learn from this and be the next State to control their economy by building fences.............Electric Fences.
What should be the U.S. Government's role? Simply..utilizing human capital to maximize output of the economy without asking for tax payer subsidies. The U.S. Government has spent billions of tax payer's money to fund programs that are "Pie in the Sky" to train and to educate, which is all fine ..but has it paid off?? Send me a report that says it has. Send me a report that shows the marginal benefit to our economy. Send me a report that shows that the lower paid jobs are being filled by those that have milked the system by taking a life long free ride.
Arizona is taking a stand on this issue. They are trying to avoid the added debt burden which supports BOTH the free riders and illegal immigrants at the tax payers expense. They are not prejudiced against Mexicans, they are prejudiced against a system that fails to support the American Dream that made this country. If we have the human resources here...put them to work FIRST. If they refuse, let those who are able and willing to work step in. At that point we can tear down the border fences and build a new one around the system that supports free riding and rebuild this nation.

Electric Dogs Can Dance Video

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v24.nonxt5.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D951fc80466144168%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1332351116%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D1ADE0B48C9A0AA0AD07710B8C14EAADE8B539FF2.2FE447B8BEAA6F8A02D7100ECE8D5A3DF3A6561B%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D951fc80466144168%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DnTuGG0cCJbtuv0BJeR84iwdv6xU&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />
Dancin' with the Dogs
Robert Neill & The Shadows. You can see that my Pedaltrain 2 board holds all my effects in a nice compact area without a mangled mess of cables between each unit and the power source. This pedalboard came with mounting brackets underneath the unit to mount a power supply. I chose the Voo Doo Lab Power Plus 2 as my power brick. The use of a power brick eliminates the need for 9volt batteries and/or separate AC adapters for each effect. The cabling is routed from underneath the board to give it a nice clean and manageable look. The Pedaltrain 2 is a medium size board measuring 25" x 17" and comes with either a soft case or heavy duty ATA road case for easy travel and setup. Other size boards are available to suit your own equipment. Setting up your array of pedals to match your needs is up to you, but there a few suggested rules of thumb you may want to follow in order to maximize your tonal output and minimize cross noise coming through the effects. Here is how I daisy chained my pedals for final setup:
1. Gain effects:
I placed my gain based effects first since they control the overall volume of the setup. In my case I started with the Boss DS-1 overdrive/distortion pedal followed by the MXR Dyna Comp compressor since these two units will effect the overall input volume of the daisy chain. Adding noise gates after these effects is also a choice. I looped the pedals close enough so that I could use 6" loop cables to minimize excess cabling.
2. Equalizer
I then looped into an MXR 6 band EQ to control the overall gain effect before going into the modulation effects.
3. Modulation effects:
Here I added a Digitech Synth Wah and a Digitech Multi-Chorus. This would also be a good point to add Flanger or Tremolo effects also. Again I used 6" cables.
4. Time based effects:
I added only one time based effect the, Boss DD-3 Digital Delay since I rely on my Fender amplifier for reverb.
5. Volume Pedal
The Ernie Ball VPJR Volume pedal was the last effect of the chain since it controls the overall volume of my effects going into the amplifier.

Additional Stand Alone Effects:
I used the extra room on the board to add my Roger Linn designed Adrenalinn III which is powered to the auxiliary power jack on the VooDoo power supply. I use the Adrenalinn for both drum rhythm's and/or its large bank of modelling effects.

All effects are held securely in place using industrial grade Velcro on the bottom of the pedals and the top of the board. To ensure a good hold remove any rubber feet or backing on the effects before applying the Velcro.

Think Electric Synth Access

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oNbmHkQ_flc/S1W5crvO2VI/AAAAAAAAAOs/Gxkeu-2fgCA/s400/sh275w.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5428448828293306706" />

Carvin Custom Made SH275 with Synth Access. The color is Deep Honeyburst on AAA flamed maple.

The Red Strat.....Think David Gilmour

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oNbmHkQ_flc/S1W6eBn094I/AAAAAAAAAO8/84E_MYuuyNc/s400/redstrat.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5428449950859327362" />

Sound Byte of The Red Strat #2

A Candy Apple Red Fender Deluxe Stratocaster that I modified with EMG DG-20 Pickups to replicate David Gilmour's famous Red Strat he used while performing Live.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 317px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_oNbmHkQ_flc/S1W7CvmH_yI/AAAAAAAAAPE/B0oveFCGZBo/s400/gilmour_redstrat_closeup.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5428450581675507490" />
Above is a picture of the original Gilmour #1 Strat. It is a 1957 Reissue with an 8 hole white pickguard and off white control knobs. The 57 RI will cost another $500 over the Deluxe if you really want to replicate the #1. I was lucky enough to find a Deluxe in Candy Apple Red to save some money but it has the 12 hole pickguard to match the EMG guard. . The EMG drop in PUPS/Guard is nice but I do not care for the pickguard marblelike color. I can replace this to better replicate if I wish. I am also looking to replace the vol/tone knobs to a more vintage white.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_oNbmHkQ_flc/S1W7yCwaO7I/AAAAAAAAAPM/_bt-mGInbt8/s400/redblack+strat.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5428451394272770994" />

The Red Strat next to the Black Strat.
